BUFFER 373 Large D Section Pontoon Fender Large D Section PVC Pontoon Fender
The BUFFER-373 Large D Section Marine Fender is a heavy-duty PVC pontoon buffer designed to protect boats, pontoons, floating docks, marinas and jetties from impact damage during docking and mooring operations. Manufactured from high-quality UV-stabilised extruded PVC, this marine fender provides long-term protection while maintaining an attractive appearance in harsh Australian marine environments.

Available in continuous lengths up to 25 metres per roll, the BUFFER-373 is widely used on commercial marinas, residential pontoons, floating walkways, yacht clubs, boat ramps and waterfront developments. Fitting Instructions

1. Slide the correct piece of 60 x 3 flat bar into the buffer – it’s cut 20mm short each end to make it easier to manage the corners.
2. If it’s buffer on 3 sides – start with the short side – only attempt to attach one side at a time.
3. Place the buffer (with the alloy inserted) onto the pontoon and clamp.
4. Leave the rest of the buffer atop the pontoon to prevent damage.
5. Using a 20mm hole saw bit, drill a hole into the buffer about 50mm from the edge of the pontoon and screw through the flat bar to the pontoon using the screws provided.
6. Space the holes approx. 300mm apart and continue drilling the holes and screwing the buffer on as you go.
7. When you get to the corner, slide the next piece of 60 x 3 flat bar into the buffer and stop 20mm short from corner.

TIP: Using the hole saw bit, drill a hole on the back side of the buffer so you see when the flat bar is in the correct position

8. Cut a small V in the top of the buffer and bend the buffer around the corner. Clamp in a few places again.
9. Drill the first hole on this side about 50mm from the corner and continue with approx. 300mm spacings.
10. Repeat the corner procedure again and then finish with the final side of the buffer, trim it to the right length before fixing last screw.
11. Use Gumption to clean the buffer
