This pontoon boat is used to lift out giant effluent pond
mixers, the polyethylene floats and full aluminum construction
with stainless steel fasteners. Fitted with twin 25 four
stroke motors, double motor brackets. We normally have a
good turn around time on custom requirements. Example of
extra's are your choice of motor, handrails, lights, toolboxes,
seats, fuel tanks and even a hoist or crane. Let us help
you design a pontoon for your needs, please give us a message
or call to discuss. Poly floats manufactured by Dynaplas

Frequently Asked Questions
What is an effluent treatment pontoon?
An effluent treatment pontoon is a specialised floating work platform designed to provide safe access to wastewater treatment ponds, aerators, mixers, pumps and other treatment equipment used in sewage and industrial water treatment facilities.
What is the purpose of this industrial crane pontoon?
This custom-built crane pontoon was designed to lift, service and replace large effluent pond mixers and associated equipment within wastewater treatment facilities while providing a stable and safe working platform for operators.
What materials are used in the pontoon construction?
The pontoon features a fully welded marine-grade aluminium frame, aluminium checker plate decking, polyethylene flotation modules and stainless steel fasteners for maximum corrosion resistance and durability.
Why is aluminium used for industrial pontoons?
Marine-grade aluminium provides excellent strength-to-weight ratio, corrosion resistance, low maintenance requirements and long service life in harsh industrial and wastewater environments.
What type of flotation is used?
The pontoon utilises heavy-duty polyethylene floats manufactured by Dynaplas, providing reliable buoyancy, impact resistance and long-term performance in industrial applications.
Can the pontoon be customised?
Yes. Marine Dock Systems designs and manufactures custom industrial pontoons tailored to specific operational requirements, lifting capacities, equipment layouts and site conditions.
What options can be added to a custom pontoon?
Optional features include cranes, hoists, handrails, toolboxes, navigation lights, fuel tanks, seating, motor brackets, consoles, storage compartments and specialised lifting equipment.
What engines power the effluent treatment pontoon?
This particular vessel is fitted with twin 25 horsepower four-stroke outboard motors mounted on heavy-duty dual motor brackets for improved manoeuvrability and reliability.
Can industrial pontoons be used in wastewater treatment plants?
Yes. Industrial pontoons are commonly used by wastewater treatment plants, sewerage treatment facilities, councils, water authorities and industrial processing operations for equipment access and maintenance.
What industries use industrial work pontoons?
Industries include wastewater treatment, water management, mining, aquaculture, environmental services, industrial processing, local government infrastructure and utility operations.
What are the benefits of polyethylene flotation modules?
Polyethylene floats are highly durable, UV resistant, impact resistant and require minimal maintenance while providing dependable flotation for demanding industrial applications.
Can Marine Dock Systems design pontoons for specific lifting requirements?
Yes. Custom pontoons can be engineered to accommodate cranes, lifting frames, maintenance equipment and specialised operational requirements for industrial projects.
Are these pontoons Australian made?
Yes. Marine Dock Systems manufactures Australian-made pontoons and floating structures using locally manufactured Dynaplas flotation systems and marine-grade materials.
How long does it take to manufacture a custom industrial pontoon?
Manufacturing lead times vary depending on project complexity, size and custom features, however Marine Dock Systems is known for fast turnaround times on custom pontoon projects.
What other industrial floating structures does Marine Dock Systems supply?
Marine Dock Systems designs and manufactures industrial pontoons, sludge pontoons, floating work platforms, maintenance barges, crane pontoons, service vessels, floating walkways and custom marine infrastructure throughout Australia.
